Auctions overview
Over the past 50 years we have established a national reputation for our fodder auctions, notably the Newbury Hay & Straw Sale, which attracts buyers from all over the country. Over 5,000 tonnes are regularly traded each season.
We hold sales of hay and straw at farms throughout southern England each December, January and March, and we can also arrange private sales.

John Read is an Associate of the firm and joined in 2002. John is involved in a wide range of professional areas including property management, valuations, auctions, tenancy advice, compensation arising from utilities and has particular expertise in telecommunications masts. He is involved with several local agricultural organisations and among his sporting interests he organises a number of cricket matches for the firm in addition to being an enthusiastic golfer.
