Barn Conversions at Drayton Parslow, Near Milton Keynes

Carter Jonas Building Consultancy designed and project managed this conversion of a 'U' shaped group of redundant Victorian agricultural buildings to form three dwellings for the private rental sector. The work involved demolition of several ugly twentieth century structures, including one covering the central courtyard. A comprehensive programme of brickwork and timber repairs was required, followed by re-roofing using natural slate. The group of buildings are within the curtilage of the Listed former farmhouse requiring Listed Building Consent to be obtained in addition to Planning Permission.   

The completed houses are proving popular with tenants, who enjoy the edge of village location with fine views across the Buckinghamshire countryside.
